Distance Learner CRT Information

Hello Families of Distance Learners in Grades 3, 4, and 5,

We are preparing for students to take the 2021 CRT assessments beginning next week. This required assessment is given annually to all students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. This is a state of Nevada secure test, and as such, students who are distance learners are not able to take the assessment in the distance learning mode.

We are inviting students who are currently distance learners to come to the LWJES campus for the purpose of taking the CRT on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 20, 2021
  • Wednesday, April 21, 2021
  • Thursday, April 22, 2021

  • Tuesday, April 27, 2021
  • Wednesday, April 28, 2021

  • Thursday, April 29, 2021
  • Friday, April 30, 2021

Students should arrive on campus between 9:15am and 9:30am.  The testing sessions will begin at shortly after 9:30am and students will finish at or about 11:45am. We will provide more specific information regarding the session length prior to students testing.

It is critical that all distance learners in grades 3, 4, and 5 complete the following survey by 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 15, 2021, indicating whether or not your student/s will be on campus for the CRT. If your student/s are able to attend some of the testing days, but not others, please indicate that on the survey and the school will work to schedule make-up sessions on other days/dates and notify families of those days/dates.

If your student will be on campus for the CRT, please know that all safety protocols must be followed, including the full-time wearing of face coverings and social distancing guidelines. Students who are on campus to take the CRT will also need to bring their Chromebook, fully charged. Please also send your student with the Chromebook power supply and a novel or other book to read when they complete their daily CRT session.

If you have any questions, please contact the school and ask to speak to Mr. Nellis.

Thank you.
