Student Absences

In the event your child is not able to participate in distance learning, we ask that you send a note to school for the absence.  Remember, participation can be attending synchronous sessions, working in online platforms (e.g., Canvas), or communicating with the teacher about the student’s learning activities that day.  If your child is not able to complete any of these activities, you may submit an absence report for your child online on the LWJES Online website at and scrolling to the section labeled Online Student Absence Report and completing the form.  You may also send an email to your child’s teacher with information about the absence.  Thank you for all you do to support your child’s education!
